Job Advertisement: 02 State Registered Nurses

As part of the expansion of its activities to satisfy all its customers, Africa Eye Foundation, an international NGO, is recruiting 02 State Registered Nurses for its hospital, MagrabiICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI), located in Obok on the Okola Road.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with established nursing standards and implement hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, and infection control
• Interpret policies to staff, patients, and the public as appropriate
• Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff
• Assist nurse superintendents in training, orientation, and supervision of subordinate personnel
• Cooperate with other staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good relations
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained
• Attend required meetings, educational programs, and maintain professional development
• Assist during patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients and maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor
• Ensure proper working conditions in the department (e.g., cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and supply availability)
• Check patient files for accuracy, prepare patients for examinations, and accompany them to required areas
• Ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed
• Ensure patient files are returned to medical records after procedures

Candidate Profile and Skills:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• At least 2 years of previous clinical experience in medical/surgical, emergency, and outpatient settings
• Ability to work independently, plan, organize, and carry out work assignments
• Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to work in teams at all levels
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules, tasks, and priorities
