Job Opportunity: RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, CLASSIC – ECOBANK CAMEROON S.A
I. Nature of Contract
Permanent Contract
II. Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager, Classic is responsible for delivering high-quality service and customer retention strategies to enhance product sales and meet new client growth targets. The role aims to achieve individual targets in:
- Deposit growth
- Revenue generation
- Product cross-selling
- New client acquisition
- Digital products sales (e.g., Mobile App, Ecobank Online)
- Loan portfolio management
III. Key Responsibilities
Business and Financial Performance
- Proactively develop and manage client relationships
- Anticipate client needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Onboard clients and develop portfolio through direct sales
- Ensure proper execution of client instructions with internal coordination
- Develop sound knowledge of Classic Banking products and services
Customer Excellence
- Handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Leadership and People Management
- Track and report weekly performance of the client portfolio
- Collaborate effectively with team members
Process Control and Operational Performance
- Ensure compliance with Operational Risk and KYC/AML guidelines
- Monitor credit portfolio to maintain NPL below 3%
Strategic Initiatives
- Lead initiatives that contribute to business growth

Reports to: Head Retail Banking
V. Job Profile
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Banking, Marketing, or FMCG Sales
- Strong product knowledge and people development track record
- Understanding of operations, technology, and customer service
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- Fluent in English and French
