Job Opportunity: Chief Accountant – Dangote Cement Cameroon S.A.
Dangote Cement Cameroon S.A. is currently on the lookout for a qualified and driven Chief Accountant to strengthen its Finance team. If you’re a seasoned accounting professional seeking a dynamic work environment and leadership responsibilities, this role might be the perfect fit.
Job Description
As Chief Accountant, you will be at the helm of the financial accounting operations of the company. Your mission will include leading a team within the Finance and Accounts department, guaranteeing the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, budgets, and management accounts.
You will also be in charge of maintaining clean financial records, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and contributing to strategic financial planning through forecasts and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure full compliance with IFRS and SYSCOHAD accounting frameworks

Monitor budgeting processes and cost control

Lead and train the finance team
-
Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting

Analyze financial trends and provide strategic input to management
Required Profile
To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

A professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA is an added advantage
-
At least seven (7) years of relevant experience, preferably in the cement or manufacturing industry
-
Strong knowledge of IFRS and SYSCOHAD accounting systems
-
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
-
Bilingual: Fluent in both English and French
-
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
-
High attention to detail and analytical thinking
-
Ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively
