Recruitment Notice: 20 Temporary Positions at CBC Health Services – Book Conversion Project for Inclusive Education
Organization Overview:
The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services, through its Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SEEPD) Program, is launching an important recruitment drive as part of its ongoing commitment to Inclusive Education. The initiative seeks to recruit 20 individuals to support the conversion of Secondary School textbooks into accessible digital formats for students with visual impairments. This effort will serve both the Francophone and Anglophone subsystems of education in Cameroon.
Available Positions

10 Positions – Francophone Subsystem
-
Primary Task: Convert secondary school textbooks from the French-language curriculum into accessible formats.

Requirement: Strong written and spoken proficiency in French. Good English skills are an added advantage.

10 Positions – Anglophone Subsystem
-
Primary Task: Convert secondary school textbooks from the English-language curriculum into accessible formats.

Requirement: Strong written and spoken proficiency in English.

Applicants must clearly indicate the stream they are applying for (Francophone or Anglophone) in their motivation letter.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
-
Own and use a personal laptop.
-
Be proficient in Microsoft Word and basic document formatting.
-
Be available full-time Tuesday through Saturday for 8 weeks.
-
Work daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM with two short breaks.
-
Not be involved in GCE, Probatoire, or Baccalauréat exam marking during the project period.
-
Reside in Bamenda or be able to secure accommodation there independently.
Project Timeline

Notification of Selected Candidates: Saturday, June 14, 2025

Training Period: June 17 – June 21, 2025

Book Conversion Phase: Starting June 24, 2025 (8 Weeks)

Work Schedule: Tuesdays to Saturdays | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation
A stipend will be provided to selected candidates for their active participation and contribution during the project.
