POSITION OVERVIEW

The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards on site, ensuring strict compliance across all operational areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the daily deployment and enforcement of HSE policies across all work zones
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to mining and infrastructure construction activities
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, site audits and ensure follow-up of corrective actions
• Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate reporting and root-cause analysis
• Organize emergency response drills and coordinate actions during critical situations
• Work closely with project teams, contractors and local authorities on HSE matters
• Consolidate HSE data and contribute to dashboards and KPIs for management reporting

REQUIRED PROFILE

🎓 Education & Certification

• Master’s Degree in HSE or a related discipline
• Recognized HSE certification (mandatory)

💼 Professional Experience

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar HSE role
• Strong background in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing HSE for multiple contractors or linear infrastructure projects (rail, road) is a strong asset

🛠 Technical Skills

• Solid operational understanding of risks related to construction and mining operations
• Ability to implement preventive and corrective HSE measures on complex sites

🌍 Languages

• Fluent in English and French
