Recruitment Notice – Legal Manager at TotalEnergies
TotalEnergies operates in an evolving legal and regulatory landscape, requiring strong legal oversight to mitigate litigation risks and ensure compliance. The Legal Manager will play a key role in contract management, regulatory monitoring, and litigation prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Draft agreements, contracts, and memoranda of understanding.
- Supervise contract implementation and ensure legal compliance.
- Provide legal assistance to operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Handle claims with legal implications from subsidiary entities.
- Raise awareness about legal risks within operational teams.
- Research and propose legal defenses in case of disputes.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors and ensure company compliance with all legal acts.
- Manage legal claims and protect the company from litigation risks.
- Respond to third-party claims in coordination with relevant departments.
- Represent the company before administrative authorities.
- Maintain an information network for legislative and regulatory updates.
- Establish a legal documentation system for the company.
- Implement compliance policies in accordance with current legislation.
- Develop debt recovery strategies.
- Oversee amicable and judicial debt recovery processes.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Private Law / Business Law
- Experience in a law firm is an asset
- Tenacity, initiative, and anticipation
- Rigor, proactivity, and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of business law and legal procedures
- Proficiency in IT tools and legal reporting
- Excellent writing skills for drafting letters and reports
