REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Job Mission
As a Regional Director, you will define and implement a development action plan for your region in alignment with BICEC’s retail banking strategy. You will oversee commercial development, coordinate branch activities, and represent BICEC’s interests with third parties.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute the annual budget and achieve financial and strategic objectives for the region.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers and the Retail Banking Director to distribute individual and collective objectives.
- Develop and manage the regional customer portfolio.
- Lead and coach regional and branch teams, fostering professional growth.
- Contribute to the commercial performance of the region.
- Validate and approve credit files within delegation authority.
- Manage risks associated with banking activities (credit, operational, and fraud risks).
- Ensure compliance with internal control and risk management standards.
- Optimize synergy with other commercial divisions (SMEs and Large Enterprises).
- Directly manage a high-end customer portfolio within the region.
- Oversee proper administrative follow-up in the region.
Profile Requirements
- Higher education degree (BAC+5 minimum) or a banking diploma (ITB).
- At least ten (10) years of proven experience in team management in one of the following positions:
- Branch Manager (1st category and non-categorized branches)
- Senior Banker
- Market Manager
- Credit Risk Manager
- Debt Recovery Manager
- Commercial Animation Manager
- Geographic mobility is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, taxation, and economic principles.
- Familiarity with SYSCOHADA accounting standards.
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations, structures, and regulations.
- Mastery of sales and negotiation techniques.
- Expertise in credit file preparation and credit process management.
- Awareness of banking transaction standards and procedures.

- Decision-making ability and risk assessment skills.
- Leadership and managerial capabilities (team development, meeting facilitation).
