Job offer: Regional Head, Wealth & Premier Banking – ECOBANK Cameroon

The Regional Head, Wealth & Premier Banking will oversee the growth of the Wealth & Premier client base, deepen client relationships, and establish a strong reputation for delivering effective wealth management solutions. The position has overall regional responsibility, including the diaspora offerings. The goal is to be among the top 3 in each affiliate within 36 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Business and Financial Performance:
- Deliver revenue, PBT, AUM (Assets Under Management), and balance sheet targets.
- Grow and sustain a robust wealth management business, including investment management, financial planning, bancassurance, tax advice, and estate planning.
- Provide leadership to ensure client acquisition, wallet share growth, and efficiency.
- Leverage digital channels for client engagement and service.
- Drive process simplification for cost-income optimization.
- Maximize revenue per Relationship Manager (RM) through up-selling and cross-selling.
Customer Excellence:
- Develop a high-performing client engagement team (Wealth Managers, Relationship Managers, Financial Planners).
- Design and execute top-tier customer value propositions for each affiliate.
- Become the best bank for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in each affiliate, as measured by CX and NPS ratings.
- Maintain strong communication with key stakeholders and business influencers to support productive relationships.
Leadership and People Management:
- Mentor and develop teams, sharing best practices across affiliates.
- Ensure effective leadership and team management to meet business goals.
Process, Control, and Operational Performance:
- Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, legal, regulatory requirements, and audits.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring the proper distribution of Wealth Management solutions.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Build primary banker relationships with at least 75% of the Wealth & Premier client portfolio.
- Lead initiatives that will improve RM efficiency through tools, development, and digital adoption.

Reporting to:

Host Affiliate Head Consumer Banking (Direct report)
Executive, Wealth & Premier Banking (Functional report)

Job Profile:

Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 10 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry, with 4 years managing High Net-Worth Individual portfolios.
- Certification in Financial Planning and Wealth Management is advantageous.
- A Master’s degree is required.
Skills & Attributes:
- Customer and market-oriented, with strong planning and execution skills.
- Proven leadership and people development capabilities.
- Ability to drive execution and deliver results.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
- Business development or portfolio/relationship management experience in a financial services institution.
