Job Offer NRC : Logistics Officer
The Logistics Officer will ensure the effective implementation of logistics activities in the Southwest Region. This includes fleet management, inventory/warehouse management, and asset management while adhering to NRC’s policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Management
- Organize transportation of goods and personnel.
- Manage vehicle maintenance and ensure essential spare parts are in stock.
- Oversee compliance with NRC’s fleet policies and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit fleet-related reports (e.g., fuel usage, TerraMar data).
2. Inventory/Warehouse Management
- Maintain organized, clean storage spaces.
- Monitor goods receipt, storage, and distribution according to NRC procedures.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and update inventory records.
- Document losses, damage, or discrepancies immediately.
3. Asset Management
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and records.
- Conduct quarterly spot checks and asset inventories.
- Support donor reporting and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
Qualifications
Generic Professional Competencies
- Experience in support functions within a humanitarian or recovery context.
- Proven track record in logistics operations in complex environments.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of French is a plus).
Specific Contextual Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferably with an NGO).
- Familiarity with the South-West and North-West regions of Cameroon.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
