Position: Pricing Specialist OCC

As a Pricing Specialist OCC, you will play a key role in developing and executing pricing strategies for Ocean Freight Rates (OFR) and managing RFQs (Request for Quotations). Your work will directly support DHL’s strategic vision and enhance the company’s competitive edge in the logistics market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executing OFR Pricing Strategy:
   • Develop and implement efficient pricing plans to handle requests promptly.
   • Regularly update and maintain accurate local rates.
2. Managing RFQs:
   • Handle high-priority RFQs, lead launch calls, and provide detailed guidance.
   • Prepare and submit required RFQ documents within deadlines.
3. Commercial Relations and Negotiations:
   • Build strong relationships with clients and shipping lines.
   • Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring service quality.
4. Process Analysis and Optimization:
   • Identify opportunities for improving services, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.
   • Maintain up-to-date databases to expedite responses to specific requests.
5. Support and Training:
   • Assist team members by offering guidance and problem-solving support.
6. Monitoring and Reporting:
   • Generate carrier performance reports and market analysis.
   • Propose innovative solutions to address client needs.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your success in this role will be evaluated based on:

• Timely response to RFQs.
• Conversion rates of RFQs into contracts.
• Efficiency in securing competitive rates.
• Reduction in pricing adjustments post-submission.
• Annual cost-saving measures implemented.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 4 years in a similar role, preferably in international logistics and transportation.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, RFQ processes, and international shipping.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication in both English and French.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
